Kick Ass

Although, he didn't live up to his name, the wonderful Chloe Grace Moretz sure did. I am talking about the Matthew Vaughn film Kick Ass. It stars Aaron Johnson and Christopher Mintz-Plasse. Johnson stars as the main character, who is an everyday shlub from high school, unnoticed by all of the women and as he says not even the funny one in his group of friends. He dreams of being a super hero from one of his comics and cannot fathom why nobody else; all of the other comic book reader's haven't tried to become one (their own superhero) During his quest to become a crime fighting vigilante he come across a cute father daughter combo with vengeance for killing the crime boss murdered the wife and mother. Although the movie is a bit juvenile and there is a lot of graphic violence, I really did enjoy the movie both times that I have seen it. There is some really crude lines delivered by people of a nature that you would think. Albeit in context of the film it does hold up.

Gourmet Review 8/10
