Something for the Holidays
Hey guys been busy with some new recipes,,trying some on for size,,,created this one last night.....I do believe that you will love it,,,try it.....
Blue-Nana Bread
2 cups Flour
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. cloves (ground)
1 egg (slightly beaten)
5 tbls fat free milk
1/2 cup butter (don't use margarine, makes it gummy)
1/2 white sugar
1/2 dark brown sugar
1 cup mashed banana's
1 cup fresh blueberries
Sift together dry ingredients (in a separate bowl) Cream butter, sugar, egg, banana until mixed well, don't over mix..... Fold blueberries into wet mixture, then fold wet mixture into dry ingredients, don't over mix should just come together.... Add 1 tbls of milk at a time until it pours well, (should be thick)
Preheat oven to 350, spray two loaf pans with non-stick spray,,bake for 1 hour until a toothpick comes out clean.....
(Tasty glaze)
1 tbls of Orange Rind
2 tbls of fresh Lemon Juice
1/2 cup Powdered Sugar
Mix well and drizzle over hot bread. ( This will crystalize on bread and add a slight citrusy-sweet flavor)
